Italmatch presents special book to celebrate its 25th anniversary

Italmatch Chemicals Group celebrates this year its 25th anniversary. On this occasion, Italmatch Group CEO & Founder Sergio Iorio and Group GM Corporate Maurizio Turci presented a special anniversary book at the Confindustria Genova HQ. After the opening remarks by local institutions, Iorio and Turci outlined the milestones in the company’s history:

“Research and innovation have been the main driving forces that right from the start have allowed Italmatch to diversify and transform itself from a supplier in niche markets to a global leader in specialty chemicals,” said Sergio Iorio. “Twenty-five years of industrial growth accompanied by a cultural and generational change, that today, more than ever, is focused on digital, ESG and sustainability” commented Maurizio Turci.

Italmatch was founded in 1998 in Spoleto, a small town in central Italy, where one of the Group’s manufacturing plants is still located. Born from an entrepreneurial intuition and a management buyout by Sergio Iorio from the former SAFFA Group, a producer of matches, Italmatch has grown over the years to become today’s international player in the specialty chemicals market.
