General Manager Corporate Maurizio Turci gave a speech during "Innovation Days Liguria" forum organized by the Italian newspaper
Innovation, transition to a green economy in line with ESG targets and more sustainable solutions. These were among the main topics covered during the Innovation Days Liguria, the event organized on October 25th 2022 in Genoa, Italy, by Italian newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore and Confindustria. Italmatch Chemicals joined the roundtable “Sustainability, the green path to create value“, together with other important industrial players and local institutions. General Manager Corporate Maurizio Turci analyzed the recent ESG journey undertaken by the Company and its role for Italmatch present and future development.
The Forum, which took place nearby Group’s central headquarters, consisted of speeches and roundtables with companies and political figures from the local and national territory about the themes of new technologies, innovation and Corporate Social Responsibility. In addition, educational sessions about ESG topics featuring sustainability managers and industries were held during the afternoon.
“Since many years, Italmatch Chemicals has been working on the sustainability and innovation – commented GM Corporate Maurizio Turci – We have worked upstream with strategic acquisitions of startups, M&As, and developed, with an in-house Beyond Innovation team, products and solutions for environmentally sustainable markets, such as wind turbines and geothermal. In addition, we are partners in European projects for the production, disposal and recycling of batteries for electric vehicles and the recovery of Phosphorus from waste. This shows the key role that the chemical industry can play in achieving ESG targets“.
